A Barrier of Greatness

You should have seen it…
It was a barrier of greatness.
World heaters would flock to co-exist with the show.
An off Broadway spectacle known as, “The Neon Phenom.”
It was the envy of the universe.
Voted Number One honeymoon destination of all time in the eon’s edition of the “Extraterrestrial Weekly”.
There was a growing “feer” from the entity of stardust origination.
The show’s vibrant colors had begun to rapidly fade and now lacked it’s previous dimension.
The inhabitants of the water rock knew not of its importance.
It was a great gift from mother nature.
The bi-product of her planetary evolution.
Quantum mechanical reflection.
Living and breathing coordinate system.
A Galactic image of space!
Or maybe it was just…
The map of coral stars for fish made of jelly

Can the earth create crust formations to communicate with life unbeknownst to us?  I think it’s in your best interest to let your imagination decide this quandary.  I’ve always been fascinated with idea that our planet known as earth is alive.  Which it is.  Is the earth encoded with the same evolutionary standard that DNA provides humans?  Most likely not.  I have no scientific proof that the Earth does or does not have an evolutionary standard of its own.  Being a human myself I find the “thought process” of the earth quite confounding.  I don’t think the earth has a consciousness because if it did we would likely already be dead.  You know because certain people and or corporations do ungodly things to our beloved planet.  However, I do like the concept that it might.  This poem is a requiem for the Great Barrier Reef which in some scientific circles has been pronounced “DEAD”.

Memory Lapse

memorylapse

Memory Lapse

Inevitability on the edge of reality.

Somewhere at the intersection of duality.

It was the year that leaped over

a nest of cuckoo’s.

Tic Tok goes the clock.

The journey is non-stop.

Time is the loop.

The speed of light is the duration

relative to universal expectation.

Days become a time lapse of the Picasso.

Nights become a blink of an eye.

Glimpse into the unthinkable

as a rubber band of expansion retracts.

On the outskirts of dimension

the way is continuously milky

dipping into the hour of zero.

This poem was inspired by time relative to age.  When I was younger I thought the days would never end.  The nights would last forever.  The older I get the shorter the season.  Days feel as automated as a breathe of air.  The nights vanish into sunrise.

Zansabar: The Chronicles of Jiffy Pop

Zansabar: The Chronicles of Jiffy Pop

The year was 20infinity.
The great mutation.
Tables periodically change.
Traditional rain droplets are now outlawed.  (A billboard advertises the popular propaganda H2-No)
A scientist that goes by the moniker of Orville has programmed cyber kinetic forms of h2-yes into the atmospheric motherboard.
The zone known as O has run a muck.
Robots of advanced technological language set out to the mechanical sea.
There is a buttery tint in the air.
A storm of kernels is brewing.
The sound of thunder brings on
an onslaught of lightning.
The derivative; fluffy popcorn.

Mad Hatter

poltregeist

It was somewhere in-between The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Lucile Ball Show when the LSD began kicking in

The television had been wide asleep since its conception

A ghost in the shell

Levitation is mesmerizing

Poltergeists play for keeps

These floating ghosts sure are a hungry bunch

Hacked into the old-school A & P commercials

And are now balls deep in the marshmallows on isle 6

The scheduled program is now the feature

Lucy’s ginger glory is up in smoke

The idea of vapor is emanating from the television

Eyes are popping out of the socket

As a young girl is encompassed by the invisible smog

What a long and crazy trip its been.

Bow

To the almighty Galactus

During this duration of thought

There is a hobbit like Jewish character

Smoking fine green

Drinking the roasted leaves

Organic Jasmine

Mac and cheese of the finest quality

The type that takes a lifetime to Kraft

Everywhere I go

Everyone I know

I just lost control

Can I say I’m sorry now

Every gurl I loved

Could not get enough

I just had to ugh

Can I say I’m sorry now

All alone and back again

A state of mind

Take these chances

What we do to get by

Find ourselves in young romances

Every where I go

Everyone I know

I just lost control

Can I say I’m sorry now

Every time I’ve sinned

Every where I binged

Every drug I did

Can I say I’m sorry now

Through the needle into the vein

I am my own worst enemy

Often take amphetamines

To keep ahead of puppet strings

The world it seems to get you down

Crystal method machete found

Puppet master leaves his lair

Marionette free falls in thin air

Beyond the Shadow of a doubt

Puppeteer  will hunt you down

Everywhere I go

Everyone I know

I just lost control

Can I say I’m sorry now

Every gurl I loved

Could not get enough

I just had to ugh

Can I say I’m sorry now

All alone and back again

A state of mind

To take these chances

What we do to get by

Find ourselves in young romances

Every where I go

Everyone I know

I just lost control

Can I say I’m sorry now

Sadness

Corrupts

Work ethic

Conducive process

Bureaucracy of paperwork

Printer is the phoenix

Rebirth of the mundane

Droves of Vogon Slapsticks

Blind to the world

Outside of this cell

From 6:01 P.M to 8:59 A.M

Where freedom

Still exists

A hitchhiker

Has a towel over his shoulder.
